We have just finished a minor overhaul, which has included freshening up the outside of the premises and putting a new counter in place so that customers can see our full selection of engagement rings, dress rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and other jewellery more clearly. In doing this, we have done our best to keep the old look of the shop, which has always fitted in well with the products we sell.
We have a brand new website which showcases our shop and allows people to view some of our ever changing selection of goods.

Established in 1995, Tempo Antiques is situated in what is known as the “Latin Quarter” of the medieval city of Galway. This small family run shop houses a myriad of treasures from the Georgian and Victorian eras through the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods.
The owner, Frank Greeley, was for 20 years employed by the Digital Computer Co. in the Engineering / Quality Assurance department overall responsibility for Customer Relations. Phil’s prior work experience was within the employee relations area in the multi-national arena and in later years was employed by Central Statistics.
When Digital closed down in Galway, they took the opportunity of changing career direction and going into a business in which they had many years of experience but only as a hobby. Thus “Tempo” was born.
Three years later they were joined in the business by their son David who, having qualified as a diamond grader, returned to NUIG to complete a gemmology course which they find to be an invaluable asset, as the core of the business is the trade of antique and contemporary jewellery.
They are also joined by Jill McCullough who is vastly experienced in the jewellery trade.
