Rare 19th century sterling silver military figure, possibly Admiral Nelson, London 1882 George Angell. Realistically modelled in the form of a soldier holding rifle. Holding a baker type rifle and uniform embellished with fine details of a soldier’s attire and wearing a tricorn hat with coronet and feathers. Displayed on an original round plinth with original baize. Condition: Exceptional gauge of silver, and in excellent condition. Full hallmarks to side of military cap. The plinth and baize show wear commensurate with age. Height: 9.5 inches. Diameter of base: 4 inches. Silver Weight: 508 grams. (16.33 oz.)
