The caster of baluster shape with a finial to the top and a moulded raised foot, detachable cover, good tight fit alternate panels of foliate and diagonal piercing, crest that of an arm grasping sword. Hallmarks on base and lion passant to cover. Height: 4.75 inches. Item Weight: 75 grams. Maker’s mark reference listed by Grimwade under Unregistered Marks. It may have been recorded in the lost 1739-1758 Smallworkers’ Register.
