Description

German 17th century parcel-gilt Sweetmeat Dish, Augsburg, C.1670, Balthasar Haydt. Shaped oval and embossed with central foliage, cast side handles. Original interior gilding and gilt top on the outside. Weight: 87.25 grams. Height 3 cm (3.5 cm to top of handle). Top of dish measures 14 x 12 cm. Marked on either side of one of the handles with German silver marks for Augsburg and with the makers mark for Balthasar Haydt. Very good condition, original gilding, no repairs.
