Orivit Jugendstil Secessionist Silver plate large Jewellery Box, Germany, C.1900. This unusual box of rectangular shape on four bracket supports, conforming in style to cornices and decoration of sides and slight dome shape hinged cover with handle of a cherubic boy holding a cornucopia. Orivit marks on underside number 3827 and numbered 11 on interior. Measures: 7.5 X 5.125 X 7.5 (height to top of handle) inches. Minor wear commensurate with age mentioned for accuracy purposes. Box with lock and old key.
