Pair of Carl Poul Petersen sterling silver compotes, Montreal, circa 1940. Each style of Georg Jensen, with a petal hammered bowl and curved handle terminating in foliate buds, supported by four upright leaves with clusters of foliate buds, on a domed circular foot. Measures: 8.0 x 7.5 inches. Weight: 37.20 oz. Petersen was born in Denmark and apprenticed with Georg Jensen. He married one of Jensen’s daughters and later moved to Montreal.
