Rare 18thc Microscope

An extremely rare early Cuff brass microscope circa 1740 with its original associated mahogany box complete with drawer and some original accessories the box standing 5.1 cm / 20″high & 2cm / 8″wide at the base complete with some early small restoration.
To those of you familiar with the Cuff microscope they usually have an ornate brass bracket at the rear of the base of the column attached to the base to help steady it when viewing, but this microscope predates that later development as the bracket is not present & has never been, making this a very early & thus very rare microscope & collectible early scientific instrument.
