Rare Fine Roccheggiani Gold Mosaic Bangle Bracelet, C.1870

The broad hinged oval bangle with fine granular etruscan gold decoration, the front set with circular and oval micro mosaic panels depicting three white doves in flight with coloured foliage surround accented with panels of white swans on water, the reverse with applied letters ROMA. Width of Bangle: 3.125 inches. Will fit up to a 7.5 inch wrist. Original Fitted Case. Gold tests as 18K. Vatican gold mark. Cesare Roccheggiani worked at the Vatican Mosaic Workshop from 1856 until 1864.
